Georgia pair accused of fraud arrested on felony charges

A six-month long investigation by the Georgia Board of Workers' Compensation ended with the arrest of two people. Various accusations of fraudulent acts resulted in multiple felony charges. Of those arrested, one apparently has ties to a MLB player in another state.

Criminal charges may be filed against grieving father

A grieving father is behind bars after authorities arrested him for interfering with government property. The Georgia father stated that he was simply taking action to prevent further tragedy from striking the local community after the devastating death of his daughter and her boyfriend. At this time, it is unclear if any criminal charges will be formally filed.

Teen's felony charges dropped by prosecution

Most people in Georgia can likely recall when a suspected attempted robbery ended in the death of a young toddler. One of the two boys involved in the incident was only 15 at the time and was also the last to be charged. Although he initially faced felony charges, it appears that a careful articulated plea deal with the prosecution in addition to his full cooperation with the authorities has altered the outcome.
