Georgia senator faces criminal charges, possible suspension

Republican Senator Don Balfour of Snellville, Georgia, is facing numerous criminal charges, including creating a false certificate, illegally claiming legislative costs, double-billing and theft. A panel has also recommended that the lawmaker be suspended from his duties.

DeKalb County residents accused of making methamphetamine

Two people from DeKalb County, Georgia, were arrested recently for allegedly cooking methamphetamine in a hotel room. The arrest came a few days after the husband of one of the two was caught making the highly addictive drug in a nearby motel. The pair -- a 25-year-old man and 24-year-old woman -- now face drug charges as well as conspiracy charges.

DeKalb County officer faces sex crime allegations

A veteran policeman with the DeKalb County Police Department is under fire after allegations were made that he molested a 13-year-old girl. The 49-year-old is now facing child molestation charges and is being held in police custody.
